ISEA cyber security CBSE refers to cybersecurity initiatives like the Cyber Kid and Cyber Shikshak courses, and the Cyber Surakshit Bharat competitions for CBSE-affiliated schools, launched under the Indian government's Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Project. These programs, hosted on cbse.isea.app, offer free, online cybersecurity awareness training and competitions to promote digital safety for students and teachers.  

What is the ISEA Project?
  • The ISEA Project is a national initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, to build human resources and raise general awareness about cyber hygiene and security. 
  • It's being implemented through academic institutions, with C-DAC (Centre for Development of Advanced Computing) serving as the Project Management Unit. 
What does ISEA do for CBSE?
  • Cyber Kid Course: 
    A self-paced, interactive online course for students (Classes 5-8) covering topics like cyber ethics, online safety, cyberbullying, and responsible online behavior. 
  • Cyber Shikshak Course: 
    A similar free, self-paced course for teachers, focusing on secure use of digital tools, online fraud awareness, and cybersecurity career paths. 
  • Cyber Surakshit Bharat Initiative: 
    This program includes national-level competitions like drawing, cartoon storyboards, and technical papers to promote cyber hygiene among students in CBSE schools
